I work as a consultant, thinker, and trainer to create win-win situations in which the organization, employees, and environment all benefit equally. My areas of expertise are organizational design and adaptive organizations.
New capabilities for the adaptive organization
Organizations must be successful and “people-friendly.” They adapt, and their values and structures support rather than restrict. They focus on new skills: learning and innovation. Resilience is the new efficiency.
I offer a modern concept for organizations to thrive in today’s highly complex markets. I propagate a balanced view between adaptive capabilities and more mainstream concepts including Lean, Agile and Management/Leadership.
Successful in complex environments
In complex environments, you need different concepts and tools.
I use systems theory, organizational cybernetics, complexity theory, and many tools from the world of management theory organization design, lean and agile.
Change is not enough. Continuous evolution
When you set out on this path, only the first steps are visible; there is no complete plan or schedule.
It takes more than a simple change or even a revolution; rather, it requires a fundamental shift from a static to a dynamic view. A one-time event is therefore not a sufficient description—the hard work always began after the revolution. Improvement is continuous, like evolution.
I tend to iterative solutions, incremental change, continuous improvement and viewing goals as a direction instead of a fixed status.
Competence is more than knowledge
Learning is an integral part of work and must be modular and self-determined.
I design learning journeys, aka development concepts, and offer blended learning options with e-training and tapas alongside classic training courses.
